Gisela Peters' children's classes at the Palucca Schule in Dresden, and the Internationale Sommerakademie in Köln are depicted.
  5. Tanz regional : a region in motion / survey of dance activity in the industrial region of Nordrhein-Westfalen. Speakers at a conference for dancers, choreographers, and politicians include Nele Hertling, Jochen Schmidt, Kristine Sommerlade, Hedwig Müller, Reinhild Hoffmann, Jochen Ulrich, Christine Brunel, and Pina Bausch. Dance excerpts include Susanne Linke's Ruhr-Ort, Hoffmann's Zeche Eins (performed by Schauspielhaus Bochum), Ulrich's Carmen (performed by Oper der Stadt Köln), and Brunel's Zoar. The American filmmaker Charles Atlas discusses the growing interest in dance films and videos. The work of a pioneering German dance filmmaker, Stefan Schneider, is seen in Effort public.

Tanz : Politik : theme and variations / the interaction of dance and politics is represented by the exhibition Weltenfriede-Jugendgluck: vom Ausdruckstanz zum Olympischen Festspiel, mounted by the Akademie der Künst, Berlin, in 1993. Mary Wigman, Kurt Jooss, and other dancers active during the Nazi period are discussed. Political activism in present-day dance in Germany is demonstrated through the work of Johann Kresnik (Wendewut, performed by Theater am Goetheplatz, Bremen) and Wim Vandekeybus (Her body doesn't fit her soul, performed at the Theater der Welt Festival, München).
  7. Hommage : Gerhard Bohner, dancer and choreographer / tribute to Bohner, who died in 1992, presented through a collage of his work in moving pictures and still images, and excerpts from Dialog mit G.B., created by Susanne Linke and Urs Dietrich.
  8. Modelle & trends : in search of alternatives / a look at the economic problems confronting German dance, and some possible solutions. Examples are Carolyn Carlson's Commedia, co-produced by the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Théâtre de la Ville, Paris, and German and French television stations, and the independently produced RCA, performed by Wanda Golonka/VA Wölfl Neuer Tanz, Düsseldorf. A discussion of the future of German dance highlights Rui Horta's trendsetting Made to measure (performed by S.O.A.P. Dance Theatre, Frankfurt).
