Summary
  1. Agnes de Mille looks back upon her life as a dancer and choreographer. She discusses her early solo Ballet class [after Degas]; her ballets Three virgins and a devil, Fall River legend, and Rodeo; and her collaboration with Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II on Oklahoma! and other musicals. She analyzes ballet technique and her choreography for Rodeo in excerpts from the television program Omnibus, and appears as a dancer in Three virgins and a devil (with Lucia Chase and Janet Reed) and Rodeo. Also represented in dance excerpts are Carousel (Louise's solo), Fall River legend (performed by Nora Kaye, Dimitri Romanoff, and Chase), Rodeo (performed by Christine Sarry and members of American Ballet Theatre), and the film version of Oklahoma! (performed by Bambi Linn, James Mitchell, and others).
