Summary
Part of an irregular series of presentations sponsored by the Noverre Gesellschaft, and recorded before a live audience in the Kleines Haus of the Staatstheater, Stuttgart. Illustrated lecture by Richard Cragun on the history of ballet from Catherine de' Medici to John Cranko. To demonstrate Cranko's special contributions to ballet, Cragun and Haydée, dancing in practice clothes to piano accompaniment, perform pas de deux from three Cranko ballets: Romeo and Juliet, Onegin, and The taming of the shrew.
