Summary
Discussion of the benefits that dancers can gain from supplementing technique and company classes with different types of body training: becoming more aware of individual physical strengths and weaknesses, learning better ways of working, and rehabilitating their bodies after injuries. Baker demonstrates warm-up and mobilization exercises developed by Dowd, and West is seen in the studio demonstrating exercises that he has devised on various machines. Baker also appears in dance excerpts from Molissa Fenley's Inner enchantments and Martita Goshen's A lost world.
