Summary
Modern dancer Jim May discusses his varied career, beginning with studies with Jan Veen in Boston, and stints in the companies of José Limón and Anna Sokolow. He recalls his involvement in the early years of Dance Theater Workshop, with its emphasis on experimentalism and rebellion; his experiences teaching dance at Princeton and SUNY-Purchase; and his current work in Taipei, Taiwan, where he has founded the company Dance Forum.
