Documentary on the work of choreographer/composer Meredith Monk, based on performances given at the Almeida Theatre, London, as part of a New York/Almeida Festival. Conversations with Monk and glimpses of her company's pre-performance warm-ups are interspersed throughout the film, which includes excerpts of Dolmen music, 16 millimeter earrings, Education of the girlchild ("The traveling" and "Biography" songs), Quarry, Ellis Island, and Turtle dreams.
