Summary
The panelists reminisce about beginning their careers and striking out on their own. Recalling the American dance scene of the 1930s and 40s, they discuss the Neighborhood Playhouse, Denishawn, Martha Graham and her company, Hanya Holm, Louis Horst, Helen Tamiris, Doris Humphrey, and Merce Cunningham, and general subjects such as themes for dance, economic survival, composers for modern dance, and the expansion of modern dance technique.
