  1. CONTENTS: Commercial for fabric softener, with children costumed as characters from the film (approx. 2 min.). -- The wizard of Oz (approx. 104 min.). Prologue and epilogue in sepia tones. Dance contents include: "Ding! dong! the witch is dead," perf. by the Munchkins; "We're off to see the wizard," first perf. by Garland and Munchkins, later reprised with other characters; "If I only had a brain," perf. by Bolger and Garland [a longer version of this dance appears in the special collector's supplement]; "If I only had a heart," perf. by Haley. -- Special collector's supplement (approx. 13 min.). Includes: Theatrical promotional trailer for the 1955 re-release of the film. Cavalcade of the Academy Awards, February 29, 1940: Bob Hope introduces Mickey Rooney, who in turn introduces Garland. Texas promotional trailer, 1938 (b&w): Informal footage of Bolger, Lahr, and Buddy Ebsen, originally slated to play the Tin woodman. "If I only had a heart," sung by Ebsen, illustrated by stills. "The jitterbug": Dress rehearsal, filmed by Harold Arlen, of a number (perf. by Garland, Lahr, Bolger, and Ebsen) that was later deleted from the film. "If I only had a brain," choreographed by Busby Berkeley, danced by Bolger with Garland.
