Summary
Drama set in the Boulevard du Temple, the street of theaters in 19th-century Paris. A gifted young mime falls in love with an elusive woman. The film depicts numerous scenes of pantomimes and other theatrical performances, including the commedia dell'arte characters Harlequin, Columbine, and Pierrot, and glimpses of the plays Robert Macaire and Othello.
