Summary
Ed Bianchi, a director of commercials and films, choreographer Louis Falco, and dancer Francine Landes discuss their collaboration on commercials for Bounce, a fabric softener. In addition to talking about the making of the commercials, including the achievement of movement effects, the editing process, and the use of sets and props, they discuss more general aspects of dance work in commercials and give some advice to auditioning dancers. Landes compares dancing in commercials with the concert stage, and notes some lessons that a dancer can learn from working on commercials. Three versions of the Bounce commercial are screened and discussed.
