- Summary
- New York Congressman Ted Weiss and Assemblyman Richard Gottfried discuss how artists can be more effective in obtaining government support for the arts. They propose various ways in which artists can make themselves heard, emphasizing the importance of lobbying and the need to prove the economic value of the arts as well as their spiritual and aesthetic value. They conclude with some advice to artists who want greater involvement in the political process. In Esoterica balletica, Frederic Franklin reminisces about the beginning of his career as a member of the Lancashire Lads, and recalls an encounter with Mistinguett.
