1 videocassette (U-matic, NTSC) (27 min.) : sd., col.; 3/4 in.
Bob Bowyer and Jo Ann Bruggeman, who perform as a team, and Mitchell Rose discuss their special approaches to comedy in dance, describing some of their recent works as examples. An excerpt from Jacques and Jeanine, one of Bowyer and Bruggeman's parodies of different dance forms, is seen at the opening of the program. Bowyer also pays tribute to the technical facility and comic flair displayed by Donald O'Connor in the "Make 'em laugh" solo from Singin' in the rain. Rose discusses his use of text in his works, and the program closes with the "Sidewalk" excerpt from his Video games, a videodance created with WGBH/Boston. In Esoterica balletica, Betty Low tells how Léonide Massine attempted to have Tamara Toumanova fly in Symphonie fantastique.
