SUMMARY: Videotaped in the studio on April 10, 1981 by D. A. Pennebaker. Class in Humphrey technique taught by Nona Schurman. Includes floor work, with emphasis on falls. At the end of the class, students perform as the ensemble in an excerpt from the Variations and conclusion of Doris Humphrey's New dance, while members of the Deborah Carr Theatre Dance Ensemble perform the solo roles. Occasional gaps in recording.
