SUMMARY: Documentary exploring architectural, environmental, and artistic alternatives to western culture, particularly those offered by Native American cultures. One segment of the program contrasts a Native American eagle dance, performed by George Flying Eagle and Jim Trujillo, with the grand pas de deux from The nutcracker, performed by Rosemary Sabovick and Joseph Fritz. Still photographs of Martha Graham's Primitive mysteries are shown as part of a discussion of western artists who have found inspiration in Native American art.
