- CONTENTS. - Lecture-demonstration presented on Sept. 20, 1985, at New York University, Education Theater, New York. Lecturer: Barry Fischer. The four demonstrations include: Examples of early 1930s dance movement and exercises conceived from original exercises by Martha Graham. - "Spectre - 1914" (Drums - Red shroud - Lament). Choreography: Graham, reconstructed by Fischer; lighting: Paul Lauren. Performed by Alice Gill. - "Steps in the street" [a section of Graham's dance suite Chronicle]. Silent version, performed in tee-shirts. Choreography: Graham, reconstructed by Fischer. Performed by Alice Gill, with Janice Bailey, Jennifer Corrie, Jeanette Davis, Elinor DiPalma, Janet May Franco, Lynn Frielinghaus, Nancy Lushington, Lisa Kevis, Osnat Ringart, and Amy Wildman. - "Steps in the street." Choreography: Graham, reconstructed by Fischer; original music: David Sanders; costume reconstruction: Barry Fischer; lighting: Paul Lauren.
