Description
  1. 1 videocassette (120 min.) : sd., col. NTSC; 1/2 in. (VHS)
Summary
  1. Commercially released version of a recording originally telecast live by the BBC. This version has been somewhat edited: it lacks the telecast's voiceover introductions to each ballet, as well as the excerpt from The nutcracker (the Dance of the Indian dolls [Arabian dance]) ; also, Chopin's Military polonaise is played under the opening credits rather than as the overture to Les sylphides, and the Black swan pas de deux has been edited to omit the ballerina's fouettés. The original telecast version appears on *MGZIA 4-4259 RNC The Bolshoi in the park ; this recording contains the Nutcracker excerpt and the full coda of the Black swan pas de deux, but lacks the final ballet on the program, the Grand pas from Don Quixote.
