Summary
Documentary on eight principal dancers of the Pennsylvania Ballet. With artistic director Robert Weiss, they discuss their experiences in the company and the process of preparing a ballet for performance. The program includes rehearsal footage of two ballets choreographed by Weiss, Coppélia and Winter dreams. In Coppélia, Tamara Hadley, Debra Austin, Melissa Podcasy, and Roseanne Germer alternate in the role of Swanilda ; William deGregory, Jeffrey Gribler, and Marin Boieru play Franz ; Edward Myers plays Dr. Coppélius. The footage of Winter dreams depicts a pas de deux danced by Podcasy and Myers.
