Summary

Pantomime interpretation of Moussorgsky's musical composition depicting 10 pictures on view at an exhibition. An added element is the presence of a young denim-clad visitor (performed by mime Claude Kipnis) who is witness to the paintings coming to life in front of him. The titles of the musical pieces are retained but they are given comic interpretations often in direct contrast to the themes associated with the music.

Produced and released by the Claude Kipnis Mime Theatre in 1982. Edited from footage of performances filmed between 1974 and 1981.
Choreography: Claude Kipnis. Music: Modest Moussorgsky (Pictures at an exhibition) in the orchestral version by Maurice Ravel.
Featuring Israeli mime Claude Kipnis and six other members of the Claude Kipnis Mime Theatre.
