Summary
Documentary on Alexandra Danilova in which she is shown teaching ballet class, rehearsing students at the School of American Ballet in New York, staging Le Pavillon d'Armide (Fokin) for the School of American Ballet Workshop and Paquita (Petipa) for the Cincinnati Ballet (in association with Frederic Franklin), and coaching Zipporah Karz for the Raymonda Act IV female variation. Throughout the film she reminisces about her early years in Russia, working with Serge Diaghilev and Balanchine, and her career performing with the De Basil Ballet Russe and the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. Numerous still photographs of Mme Danilova are shown throughout.
