Note

1. Signed in pencil, lower left. Tortola Valencia in a Spanish dance, full length to left, her right arm forward, her left hand at her waist. The dancer's shawl is touched with yellow, green and red watercolor. Although numbered as impression 22 of 100 examples, the 1929 catalogue raisonné of the etchings and drypoints of Troy Kinney, published by Doubleday & Co., states that the edition reached 190 numbered impressions before the plate was canceled.
