Summary
Dancer, director, producer, and choreographer for her own modern-dance company, Kathryn Posin speaks with Billie Mahoney about her diverse career. She discusses the inception of her company (9 years prior to this interview) and mentions qualities necessary for dancers who work with her. The strongest influences on her own style are Louis Horst and Merce Cunningham, whom she individually discusses. A short rehearsal tape of Kathryn directing "Waves" is shown. They discuss smoking marijuana, sexuality in dance, and her present concert series in New York.
