The 71-year-old dancer Paul Draper talks about his childhood, his early career, his partnership with harmonica virtuoso Larry Adler, his marriage to Balanchine dancer Heidi Vosseler, his blacklisting in the 1940's, and his lifelong stutter. He is seen in two solo dances and is shown conducting warm-up and technique classes for the American Dance Machine. Lee Becker Theodore and Bob Fosse talk about his importance in American theatrical dance, along with two unidentified students.
