Contents
  1. Summary: As the musical instrument is to the musician, so the body is to the dancer. The film, made on location throughout the country and at the Louis-Nikolais Dance Theatre Lab at the "Space" in New York City, examines the dancer's instrument from its preparation in the studio to its use in the eventual performance experience. The wide diversity of body size, shape and temperament is explored and the conclusion is drawn that "anyone can dance." Includes excerpts from dance works.
