Summary
According to Frederic Franklin, a former principal dancer and rehearsal master of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, this film lacks the final scene of the ballet. In that scene, many chests of drawers were pushed onto the stage, and out of them emerged many small umbrellas, filling the entire stage. This was meant to amplify the image of the tall character dressed as an umbrella, a psychoanalytic figure of death.
