- Depicts an inn in the Wapping district of London. A boy with a cane under his right arm dances in the center of the room to the accompaniment of a seated fiddler. Three spectators stand in the doorway; a woman with pockmarks and a man sit at left.
- Possibly the inspiration for Arnold Fischar's ballet The Wapping landlady, premiered at Covent Garden on April 27, 1767.
