Ms. Seckler discusses her childhood; her early performing and class experience; working with Michio Ito and Angel Cansino; auditioning for the Humphrey/Weidman Company and participating in their first transcontinental tour; the creation of Doris Humphrey's New dance; her jazz duets with Lee Sherman; the formation of a trio with José Limón and Dorothy Bird; working with Sophie Maslow and Anna Sokolow -- Cassette 2. She briefly discusses Bennington College; her work assisting Deborah Carr in the reconstruction of Charles Weidman repertory; general impressions of current modern dance choreography and technique; the survival of Humphrey Weidman choreography; her own experiences choreographing.
