- Cassette 1. Recorded March 9, 1993. Mr. Scully discusses his family; first dance class at the University of Minnesota; going to Germany for his junior year; first teaching experiences; improvisation; contact improvisation; forming Contactworks; early choreography; leaving Contactworks; working at Macalester College; taking class with Maria Cheng.
- Cassette 2. Continuation of discussion of Contactworks; a contract dispute that he had with Mangrove (Company); working with Erika Thorne and Susan DeLattre; moving to Washington, D.C.; difficulties getting reviewed in the local press; dancing with Pola Nirenska; going to New York; working with Remy Charlip; returning to Minnesota; working with inner city children at public and Catholic schools; the beginnings of what would become Patrick's Cabaret.
- Cassette 3. Discussion of the Cabaret continued; receiving a grant to produce work relating to being HIV positive; other grants; his work and identity as a gay artist and teacher; returning to Germany; AIDS issues in Berlin; performing in Germany.
- Cassette 4. Recorded on March 18, 1993. Recording difficult to hear which caused some lapses in transcription. Mr. Scully discusses his work, including Too soon lost and Queer thinking; nudity in performance; homophobia; his decision to publicly announce his HIV status; health insurance.
- Cassette 5. Recorded on April 1, 1993. Discusses staying healthy; the relationship between HIV and AIDS; multiculturalism; Queer thinking and other pieces, including Losers, Warsaw and Personal goodbye; nudity; dance criticism; cultural identity and community as a gay man.
