- SUMMARY: M'baye Chow, director of the National Ballet Troupe of the Gambia, discusses the history and meaning of the drums and dances of the Wolof tribe, called Sabar; contemporary drum rhythms and dances from Gambia and Senegal; the Seruba drums and dances of the Mandingo (Mandinka) people; Bougarabou drums and dances; Djimbe; Kelledong; Wolousodong; Djongdong. On side 2 several unidentified people talk about the different rhythms. Chow continues his discussion of Djimbe; Lamba; one of his own ballets.
