- SUMMARY: Madeleine Nichols, Curator of the Dance Collection makes welcoming remarks; Genevieve Oswald introduces films of Asian dance made by Ted Shawn in the 1920s; after a few minutes of silence on the tape, Jane Sherman introduces a performance of reconstructions of several Denishawn dances; Judy Burns introduces and discusses films of Shawn's Three Brothers and O Brother Sun and Sister Moon; (taping breaks and then resumes in the middle of discussion) Marcia Siegel comments on O Brother Sun and on The Persians; Barton Mumaw talks about Shawn's technique and discusses Shawn's dances with Burns and Siegel; Marion Rice and Carolyn Brown reminisce about Ted Shawn and describe the Denishawn classes; Norton Owen and Norman Walker discuss a 1962 reconstruction and film of Kinetic molpai; Owen introduces a 1969 documentary film about Jacob's Pillow; Sallie Wilson and Norman Walker recollect early years of Jacob's Pillow.
