Summary
Track 2 (15 1/2 min.): In his opening remarks at the sixth week of the 1961 season of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Ted Shawn talks about his recent heart attack; the introduction of Bournonville's choreography to American audiences; the Royal Danish Ballet. He introduces the evening's performers, all members of the Royal Danish Ballet: soloist Inge Sand, Anette Amand, Anna Laerkesen, Marianne Walter, Arlette Weinrich, Jens Brenaa, Tommy Friishoi, Flemming Halby, Frantz Kjaerulff, Jorn Madsen and Flemming Ryberg.
