Mr. Goldstein, first chair of the second violin section of the New York City Ballet Orchestra, discusses Balanchine's interpretation of music; composers with whom he has worked; the New York City Ballet repertory; Robert Irving; Hugo Fiorato; Jerome Robbins; Leonard Bernstein; playing for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, 1946-47; his own career. - Reel 2. He discusses the drawbacks of the New York State Theatre. Third voice on tape is that of Jeffrey Coe, Ms. Genné's husband.
