Summary
A series of brief interviews, part of the research for Walter Terry's book, Alicia and her Ballet Nacional de Cuba (Garden City, NY: Anchor Books, 1981). The program for the 35th Anniversary of Alicia Alonso's Giselle is described. An instructor from the Ballet Nacional de Cuba's school describes the teaching system used in the school and discusses psycho-ballet. Terry interviews Laura, Alonso's daughter. They talk about Laura's childhood, career and her mother's problem with her eyesight. Terry interviews Anton Dolin who discusses Alonso's interpretation of Giselle. Ivan, Alonso's grandson, is interviewed briefly by Walter Terry.
