Summary: Composer Morton Gould discusses Santa Fe saga; writing music for dance; Tap-dance concerto; Interplay; the experience of seeing and hearing his works performed; Fall River legend; a score for a then-incomplete ballet by Balanchine called Audubon; future projects. Recordings of three works by Mr. Gould are played: Santa Fe saga (choreographed by Eliot Feld), the "Rally" and "Strut" sections of Formations (used for Feld's Half time), and the gavotte section of Mr. Gould's score for Robbins' Interplay.
