Topics discussed include the primary role and function of the critic; whether the type of publication for which one writes influences what is written; the pressures exerted by editors, choreographers, and sponsoring institutions; whether one should be concerned with the possible effect of reviews on dance funding; the effects of criticism on the ticket-buying public.
