Summary
Miss Hayden and Mr. Kriza discuss and demonstrate the characteristics of the American style of ballet, focusing on the diversity of the roles they perform. Ballets discussed are: The cage (Robbins), Constantia (Dollar), Les sylphides (Fokin), Fancy free (Robbins), Rodeo (De Mille). Both dancers discuss their background. Individually they discuss and demonstrate ballet steps traditionally performed by the female dancer and by the male dancer. Together, they discuss and demonstrate the art of partnering.
