Summary
Shawn discusses the planning of the Ted Shawn Theater; the first season (summer, 1942) of performances in the Theater, notably Agnes De Mille's Hell on wheels, La Argentinita, La Meri, Bronislava Nijinska. Shawn continues to reminisce about the war years; about the successes and difficulties of the Theater's 25 years; the financial problems of Jacob's Pillow. The tape closes with Shawn's discussion of his dance O brother sun and sister moon, based on the legend of St. Francis of Assisi.
