"For the 150th anniversary of the creation of the Requiem in Paris, we have chosen the closest version possible to the author's wishes. Not only have the number of musicians and the stage disposition been strictly respected according to his wishes, we have also traced back to the sources, to the manuscripts, and, in particular, to the first edition ... which was corrected by Berlioz himself..."--Program notes.
The 2nd work is the sole extant movement of the composer's Grand Messe de Saint-Roch (1825).
