Also, letters, 1861-1868, from Mary Balmanno to John Sartain, regarding disposal of her husband's collection of books, engravings and autographs.

Biography
Robert Balmanno was an author and collector of engravings and autographs. He moved from London where he was editor of the London Literary Gazette to New York where he founded the New York Shakespeare Society.
