Summary
Accounts for the firm of William W. Long, which commenced business on December 24th, 1845. The last dated entry in the account book for the firm is October 29, 1848. Long bought and sold leaf tobacco, cigar wrappers, manufactured loose tobacco, cigars, paper, snuff and snuff boxes, and fireworks. Their chief accounts were A. Mullen & Son, Samuel Jackson, Jacob Beck & Co., Heald Buckner & Co. and Jonas Metz (of Metz & Beck). Several pages of accounts pertaining to Long's role as Treasurer to the Lalla Rookh Assembly, 1854.
