- Volume 2 is an edition of madrigals by Alessandro Orologio, Lucretio Quintiani, and possibly Ippolito Sabino and Giovanni Francesco Anerio.
- The madrigals by Orologio, Sabino, and Anerio are taken from the Tenbury Partbooks, Tenbury, St. Michael's College, MSS. 940-944 (original now in the Bodleian Library, Oxford), which contain 150 five-part Italian madrigals by twenty-eight composers.
