Views of parades and celebrations in New York City: parade for the Atlantic Cable Jubilee, Sept. 1, 1858; Japanese embassy in New York, June 1860, including boats in harbor with flags, military escort, etc.; Fourth of July celebration, 1860; the visit of the Edward, Prince of Wales; reception for the Grand Duke Alexis; Lincoln's funeral procession, April 25, 1865; procession April 10, 1871 commemorating the peace between Germany and France; man dressed as Uncle Sam on cart with flowers "paying the election bet, Nov. 14, 1872" with firemen in the background; Masonic Parade, June 2nd, 1875; Labor Day Parade, 1887, possibly other years; Decoration Day parades; Centennial Parade, April 30, 1889; Gilmour's band in parade for Columbian celebration; Knights Templar Parade, 1895; parade in honor of Admiral Dewey, 1899; unidentified parades including a military parade on Broadway, men watching from tree; "fruit column in Jones' Woods, German Thanksgiving festival."
