  • Views of Lake Superior including towns, Indian camps, mines, transportation and scenery: views of Duluth: Erin go Bragh Saloon and other buildings on St. Louis Avenue, a boardwalk built over a marsh (?), boats tied up, town on hill beyond, Minnesota Point, showing boats on beach, houses; Hancock from Houghton, showing large building and homes; Houghton from the smelting works showing homes, churches, buildings; Marquette: from Ripley's rock showing docks, steamboat, sailing vessel, the ore dock, one view with cannon in foreground, from Ridge St. Bluff showing town above the harbor, ice blockade in Marquette harbor, June 1873, showing floating ice, ships with sails up, street view showing stables, other buildings, wagons, general view from St. Joseph's convent showing houses, ships in harbor beyond, and a view of a large church and rectory; Mackinac City: general view showing town and docks; Sault St. Marie: views of ships passing through the locks; an interior of an iron furnace showing molten metal being poured; copper mines: shaft houses, the Atlantic Stamp Mill; iron mines: locomotive entering mine tunnel, men in open mine, men splitting rock with large chisel and sledge hammers.
