Views of Lowell, Massachusetts, general views showing mills, the Merrimack River; view of the canal and Pawtucket Falls; Bridge Street canal, lined with trees; Merrimac Canal, mills at the end; Pawtucket Bridge; Central bridge, (built 1862); the Lowell Machine shop; Middlesex Woolen Mills; spooling room, Lawrence Mill; women at work in the making-up room, Lawrence Hosiery; Central Street in winter, sleighs at side of street; Barrister's Hall, stores at street level, offices above; women posing in street in front of the courthouse; the Public Library; First Baptist Church; Methodist Episcopal Church; unidentified church on triangular lot; Merrimac St. depot; the Boston & Maine Railroad station; Post office building; "May training on South Common," 6th Regiment Volunteers (Civil War?), Middlesex County jail in background; Lowell Waterworks under construction, winding walkway through garden at "Livingston's," large house beyond; 2 women in front of Gen.
