Mason; a relief boat loading potatoes in Oakland; a woman wearing men's clothing after losing everything; makeshift businesses, including restaurants in the street, a barber in a relief camp; people "searching for treasures" in the ruin of the Crocker home; people heading out of town with their few belongings; a man painting the ruined city hall.
Each view includes substantial text; including commentary on the scene shown, the culture of San Francisco, response to the disaster, and notes on other disasters.
