The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy was originally part of the 135 Street Branch's Circulation Department. Added or transferred to the Schomburg collection (August 8, 1945 -- G.K. Halls, v. 9, page 7868, column 1, row 1-2) when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian, and Lawrence Reddick was the Curator. It includes NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection," NYPL's perforated stamp, & ink stamps of: "Division of Negro Literature and History"; "The New York Public Library: Circulation Department, 135 Street Branch, 103 West 135th St." and "Property of the City of New York." It may have been treated, bound, or rebound in navy cloth over boards, library binding, with gilt spine.
