Summary
Chronicles Pavarotti's visit to the People's Republic of China in June 1986. Shows him giving a vocal masterclass, performing in a Chinese opera, and enjoying children performing on both Chinese folk instruments and Western musical instruments. Includes various scenes of Peking and its environs showing the inhabitants engaged in a variety of activities. Presents excerpts from a fully staged and costumed performance of Puccini's opera, La Bohème. Concludes with excerpts from a concert of opera arias sung by Pavarotti in the Great Hall of the People in Peking.
