- Summary
- Posters and poster reproductions manufactured or painted between 1920 and 1991 concerning African American involvement in the military. Wars covered are the American Revolution, World War I and World War II. Posters announce military reviews, commemoration events, benefits and reasons to fight, with the 369th Infantry Division heavily represented. One World War II poster depicts Private Joe Louis saying "We Will Do Our Part..." One of the painted posters was done by Robert S. Pious.
