- 10,000 copies issued. Shortly after publication, the work was the subject of court proceedings on charges of blasphemy; 3 prints were ordered confiscated in 1928, affecting more than 3,000 copies, and one (no. 10) was ordered destroyed in 1931 (by which time no unsold copies remained). Cf. Dückers.
- Numbered 1-17; numbering and legends on prints and title on portfolio reproduced from ms., probably in Grosz' hand.
- Chiefly reproductions of drawings (some altered for this publication) for an animated film to be projected in the background of the stage production Die Abenteuer des braven Soldaten Schwejk, by Erwin Piscator and Bertolt Brecht (Berlin, 1928), which was a dramatization of Jaroslav Hašek's Osudy dobrého vojáka Švejka za světové války.
