Summary

1. The Glenn Carrington photographs include Carrington’s own work as a studio photographer, as well as snapshots of his personal life and photographs and postcards he collected. Carrington’s portraits of men are in some cases semi-nude, or otherwise erotically suggestive.
2. The personal photographs include images of Carrington's travels, college days, and friends.
3. The collection also includes photographs and photographic reproductions of wrestling matches, bodybuilding contests, stills from the film "Dino" starring Sal Mineo, soldiers, a graduation ceremony, street and landscape scenes. Well-known individuals depicted include Langston Hughes and Julian Bond.
