Summary

1. Portraits of artist Aaron Douglas. Portraits cover a span of years from when Douglas was a teenager to his later years. In one view, Douglas is painting. In group photographs, Douglas is shown with his wife, Alta, Charles and Marie Johnson, Jackie Blackledge, E.J. Josey, and showing Arthur Schomburg his mural "Aspects of Negro Life: Song of the Towers." Also included is a candid shot of Alta with a high school senior. Quarter, half and full-length views are included.
